This position is for a pediatric Rehab Technician at the M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinic in Woodbury, MN. This individual will work with the pediatric therapy team of Physical, Occupational and Speech therapists and have the opportunity to be part of this highly collaborative pediatric clinic. This position is for up to 32 hours per 2-week period (0.4 FTE). The ideal schedule for this position is 4, 4-hour days/week, however, some flexibility does exist.
The Rehabilitation Technician is responsible for assisting therapists in providing safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care by preparing patients for their therapy session, assisting with therapy sessions under the direct supervision of a therapist and assisting with rehab equipment as needed.
This individual will also help with daily operations of the pediatric rehab clinic by preparing, maintaining and cleaning the department/treatment areas in compliance with appropriate polices related to infection control, safety regulations and other established guidelines. This person will also stock supplies and participate in general departmental activities that support the pediatric team. Finally,this person will support basic scheduling functions for patients, building templates in Epic, running reports, etc.
Completion of at least 2 years of a degree in a healthcare or exercise-related field.
Current BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) certification by the end of orientation.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Healthcare experience with some direct patient contact.
