Summary Summary The primary function of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is to provide anesthesia to pediatric patients under the medical direction of an Anesthesiologist. CRNAs also perform pre-operative and post-operative assessment of patients as required. As Advanced Practice Nurses, CRNAs may perform patient histories and physicals, assisting the Pre-Anesthesia Nurse Practitioners as required for patient flow and case volume management.
Education and Experience Masters Degree required, DNP preferred. Pediatric experience preferred. Current Texas professional registered nurse license. Certified as CRNA. American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS required. Additional Information CCPN
