Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Technical Supervisor-Radiology.
In this role, the successful candidate will oversee and support the Radiology Manager. Directly manages expeditors, secretaries and radiology techs. Ensure proper staffing and organization of processes for effective patient flow in radiology including interventional Radiology, MRI, Ultrasound and X-Ray.
Job Responsibilities: - Performs other duties as assigned.
- Reports/documentation: prepares reports and oversees all departmental documentation.
- Develops and implements programs for training, retraining, and continuing education of technical staff, as well as of new employees.
- Provides management coverage to Radiology leadership team (peer group)
- Provides leadership, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth and development of staff.
- supports mission of Radiology and ensures successful integration of Radiology into the center.
- Provides support to Radiology Manager during his/her absence, services during those times as primary onsite Radiology leadership.
- Regulates patient flow in and out of the department and functions as a liaison between radiology and other departments to ensure continuity of services.
- Demonstrates knowledge of organization mission and core vales and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Supervises staff performing imaging and processing support function, communicates collaboratively with the manager to resolve issues and develop systems to facilitate overall functions in the department, responsible for assuring preventative maintenance of equipment as well as necessary maintenance of equipment.
- Maintains a high level of technical skills to regularly and proficiently organize, train, and counsel technical staff with regard to job performance, professional growth, and knowledge of departmental policies and procedures: supervises training of departmental employees to ensure staff has necessary skills and expertise to provide patient care.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiologic Technology
- New York State License Radiologic Technology
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum of two years leadership and management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Management or a related field
