SPD Technician Floor Lead - Sterile Processing - FT/Days
SUMMARY: The SPD Technician Floor Lead is accountable for the daily work flow and assignments of Tech I, Tech II, and Tech III staff, to ensure cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. CIS - Certified Instrument Specialist certification is required and a CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or CBSPDT - Certified Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech required. A minimum five (5) years progressively responsible experience, which includes specialty instrumentation, devices, and equipment preferred. Must posses excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of instrumentation, medical devices and endoscopes. Must also demonstrate proficiency in computer skills.
