Cook Children's Health Care System
Summary Provides outpatient psychotherapy (family, individual and play therapy). Works with clients ages 0-18 and their families. The Family Therapist possesses knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development as well as experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu. Experience with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care is preferred. Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred. May be assigned to work with specialty populations or across several clinic locations. Education & Experience
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
The Neighborhood Clinics provide a pediatric medical home to children ages 0 – 18. The Family Therapist works in the Neighborhood Clinics, as part of the multidisciplinary pediatric primary care team, to provide the following services:
Experience working with children and adolescents from underserved communities and complex psychosocial systems preferred. **This position provides behavioral health support and counseling services to multiple clinic locations in Tarrant County. INMED
