Job Summary: The Lead Clinical Supply Specialist is responsible for directing the workflow on a given shift to appropriate staff and act as point person for immediate issues/customer service. This position is also the primary staff member who creates new bin locations for new product, moves stock to appropriate areas as needed, and manages the upkeep of their respective par locations. There is also the expectation that the Lead possess a wider range of knowledge concerning our various inventory management systems. The Lead serves in a supervisory role in the absence of the Supervisor, and ensures all daily tasks are complete. Daily responsibilities for VCH CS/OR staff include maintenance of 55 inventory par locations with a total of 11,793 total inventory lines to manage. Ordering and restocking an average of 608 lines of daily inventory, as well as checking for expired/damaged product and rotating stock, the maintenance and restocking of 60 crash carts (avg 75/month), daily inventory and restocking of 21 specialty OR carts and 18 operating rooms room stock, the daily distribution/pick up of an average of 18 instrument pans to clinics and inpatient units, delivering instrument pans to ongoing OR cases, restocking the shelves with unused instrument pans and unused/returned OR case pick items. Serving as primary customer service support for OR clinical staff for emergent needs during ongoing cases, as well as future needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the daily supply chain operations and staff. Supervises inventory counts to ensure adequate supply is maintained.
• Responsible for the organization and maintenance of assigned supply locations.
• Captures patient charges for supplies.
• Provides materials and equipment requested in a timely manner. Assembles carts for distribution.
• Ensures supplies are in a clean and safe working condition and environment.
• Cleans, prepares, and tests specialty beds or equipment for safety.
• Assists with the delivery of training to new staff.
