Description Position Summary Assists the nursing staff and patients with basic care needs, implementing orders, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. Reports directly to the Charge Nurse and Clinical Director of the unit. This position works in conjunction with other members of nursing service, ancillary services,m physicians, patients, and families. It collaborates with various members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care across the continuum. Requires the ability to be self-directed and quality focused. Interpersonal communication skills are a necessary function of this position. Will cross-train as a patient care technician. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates adequate skills in all forms of communication. Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Exhibits specific attitudes, sense of ownership, and ensures departmental commitment to service excellence. Adheres to established standards, policies and procedures, and protocols. Supports the mission and vision of the facility. Maintains education and development appropriate for position. Completes position responsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame. Performs specific job functions at an acceptable level. Performs specific management/supervisory skills at an acceptable level. Performs mutually agreed upon goals and objectives based on strategic initiatives. Identifies and communicates safety concerns to the unit staff in the appropriate time frame per protocol.
