Coord Rad Quality Compliance
(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Coordinator supports the Diagnostic Imaging department by actively developing, implementing and maintaining programs designed to ensure that the department meets and exceeds the quality, education and compliance expectations of VUMC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, implements and maintains compliance programs as required by VUMC, local, state, federal or other regulatory or certifying entities.
- Develops and implements an annual education and training program for diagnostic imaging.
- Performs quality and safety activities designed to protect the patient, staff and visitors.
- Takes actions and/or performs quality consulting actions designed to ensure all exams are read, meet quality standards and timely reports are issued.
- Develops, maintains, and data mines routine and complex systems to provide reports and analysis on radiology topics such as: patient service, equipment, patient referral volumes/trends, and exam volumes/trends.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
RADIOLOGY (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in applying radiology services in challenging and complex situations. Often takes a lead role in highly pressurized situations when there is a need to achieve results. Consistently delivers results in a creative and imaginative manner while setting a standard for others. Contributes in the development of best practices for the organization.
COMPLIANCE - (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates expert knowledge of the appropriate rules and regulations as they apply to the incumbent's department and work areas. Analyzes the rules and regulations for situations that are unusual and knows the inter- relationship and implication of various rules and regulations in other areas of the department. Understands the flow of rules and regulations beyond the work area and can converse intelligently about alternatives and make recommendations for more effective rules and regulations to senior management. May represent the company at regional industry organizations meetings for discussing rules and regulations.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in the program or product in challenging and complex situations. Often takes a lead role in highly pressurized situations when there is a need to provide results.
