The Outpatient Scheduler serves as a liaison between the ordering providers, families, and other departments, successfully coordinating a variety of scheduled services. The Scheduler plays a critical role in maintaining open communication and rapport when scheduling for efficient physician and practice productivity. The Scheduler is responsible for communicating effectively and professionally, understanding and coordinating physician orders, collecting pertinent patient information, distributing required information and materials, and scheduling services appropriately. Organization, flexibility, and good communication skills are paramount to this position.
Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent
At least two years experience in a medical office
Understanding of diversified insurance plans
Knowledge of coding and medical terminology
Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills
Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public and physician
CPR as required by department
