ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our the primary care practice located in the newly developing community of Whitehall.
At ChristianaCare, we are dedicated to delivering the safest and most effective care to our patients. Our Medical Assistants provide support in the following areas: scheduling, answering phones, taking vitals, and rooming patients.
Ability to work 40 hour work week with rotating schedules including evenings and weekends
Principal duties and responsibilities
Demonstrate ability to carry out critical skills as outlined in procedures and specific standards
Able to work in team based model
Perform technical skills and administer medications in a safe and efficient manner for adults and pediatric patients.
Ability to work with the team to participate in chronic disease management of patients
Perform assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
High School Graduate or Equivalent
A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
