The RN, Clinical Supervisor is responsible for operationalissues of the patient care department during their assigned shift. The RN,Clinical Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating alloperations of the department according to the policies, procedures, standardsand standard work that guide the processes for the assigned department.Responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluationof individuals and processes for the department to ensure consistenthigh-quality, cost-effective patient care. The RN, Clinical Supervisor has theresponsibility to manage material and labor resources as defined in thedepartmental annual budget. The success of the department is inherent in theincumbent's ability to demonstrate positive, professional communication withpatients, families, physicians, departmental and interdepartmental staff tooptimize workflow and to facilitate problem identification and resolution.
