You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates the ability to maintain bedside clinical skills and is proficient in EMR documentation.
Develops and executes unit-based staff education relative to but not limited to new equipment, medication, policy and procedure changes, and advances in clinical practice.
Nurse Leader Rounds on patients as directed by Leadership. Provides feedback to nursing staff that includes coaching and guidance to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
Reviews patient discharge phone calls and patient resource hotline to identify trends. Develops action plan and implementation process to improve patient safety post-acute care.
Provides coaching and guidance to individual nursing staff members to achieve improved performance and outcomes.
Provides objective information for employee’s 90 day and yearly performance evaluations.
Participates in the performance improvement process of clinical key quality indicators. Assists with data collection, review, and action planning.
Assists with the policy review and research.
Conducts interviews and provides input to the Nurse Manager/Director.
What You Will Need:
Computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office and must be adaptable to new software programs.
Strong interpersonal skills required
Graduate of an approved school of nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience
Current Florida Registered Nurse License
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
National certification in area of clinical expertise, preferred
The Clinical Improvement Coordinator works in conjunction with Nursing Administration to evaluate care provided to our population served. Based on direct observation of nursing staff processes and patient outcomes, the Clinical Improvement Coordinator identifies gaps in the coordination of care, develops an action plan, and coordinates the implementation.
