Demonstrates excellent ability to balance many competing demands and sets priorities effectively, while supporting multiple providers. Has knowledge and ability to appropriately carry-out assigned patient care based on patients' conditions. Demonstrates competency in dealing with a high volume of patients with pediatric care needs, as well as acute episodes of illness. Completed work needs only a general review by a podiatrist and/or registered nurse for appropriateness and conformity with established policies and procedures. The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing the patient Assisting in the diagnostic examination Preparing and handling specialized instruments /equipment Monitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure Assists with computer check-in and check-out of clinic appointments. Ensure that encounter-form documentation for clinics is complete. Correctly documents in medical record using CPRS/GUI, BCMA and VISTA computer programs.
