Under general supervision, assists in performing personnel and administrative services for residency education and fellowship programs. Provides medical and administrative secretarial support and may coordinate office activities. Coordinates and organizes all administrative components of the training programs including applications processing, interview scheduling, records maintenance, as well as lecture and conference scheduling. Assists in the preparation of and distributes various schedules related to rotations, call, consults and so forth. Responds to inquiries from all eternal agencies and universities and administers paperwork in response to inquiries. Coordinates and facilitates orientation and graduation programs. Administers travel and expense reimbursement requisitions and records. Gathers data from departmental records and other sources in order to prepare periodic reports and analyses. Assists with the preparation in final form of grant proposals, presentations, abstracts, and manuscripts including typing, creating slides, assembling packets and so forth.
1. High school diploma or equivalent. College or vocational school coursework in secretarial science or related field strongly preferred.
2. Two to three years of progressively more responsible medical administrative experience.
3. Residency coordination experience preferred.
