As the Director of our Hematology/Oncology Center, you will have the ability to articulate a compelling, actionable vision for the Hematology/Oncology Center. In order to ensure integration of all processes and services provided for by our Center, you will facilitate teamwork and serves as a liaison between various departments throughout the Healthcare System. You will advocate for an environment that promotes high patient care standards and implements strategies to ensure patient and physician satisfaction. In your Director role, you have:
the authority, accountability, and responsibility for the management of patient care
oversight of nursing/staff practice
overall staff development within all areas of the program.
You will assume the responsibility for all aspects of business conducted within the Hematology/Oncology Center, which includes thoroughly understanding and monitoring financial performance of your medical center units and clinics. You will conduct yourself with a team-orientation, professionalism, and demonstrate appropriate decision-making abilities based on evidenced based practice. You will also be expected to demonstrate sound clinical judgment.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Masters’ Degree in Nursing, Health Care Related Field, or Business required
Advanced certification in field of Hematology/Oncology highly preferred
A minimum of five years nursing experience, which include 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years in management
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
Membership in professional nursing organizations, such as APHON, encouraged
