The Manager of Donor Database Services provides vision, manages projects, and leads technical staff to integrate technological resources and information in supporting the fund raising efforts of the Foundation. The Manager supervises the gift processing team, special projects coordinator, and database coordinator of the Foundation and works closely with other departmental directors in identifying information needs and developing solutions to streamline operations and fund raising support. The Manager oversees a constituent database of approximately 90,000 records, the gift receiving and receipting processes, and the management functions. The Donor Information Services program is responsible for meeting information needs for all programs within the Foundation (including Annual Giving, Major Gifts and Donor Relations) to ensure that solicitations, gift management and stewardship are adequately supported and expand as fund raising results increase. Maintaining accurate gift and donor records is critical to financial reporting, donor stewardship and protecting the public trust.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Extensive computer database management experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge software is required.
Five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising environment with knowledge of donor gift processing and direct mail is required.
Prior supervisory experience required.
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel is required.
Communication skills, particularly in translating business objectives into transactional terms and the reverse, are essential.
