The Annual Giving Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordinating implementing and evaluating employee focused and community facing philanthropic programs. The Annual Giving Coordinator is responsible for annual growth and execution of the annual Employees Care fundraising campaign, as well as the execution of specified Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) fundraising programs for Cook Children’s Health Foundation. The position requires strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to articulate accurately and persuasively the themes and issues associated with philanthropy in a pediatric medical center and health care system. The individual must be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues inside and outside the Foundation.
Bachelor’s Degree in related area.
3 years of progressive experience in Annual giving, Fundraising, or similar sales, Communication, Business, Marketing, or Customer Service background.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong written and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize request.
Must possess valid driver’s license and appropriate liability insurance.
Ability to give public or large group presentations.
Working knowledge of Raisers Edge database preferred.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
No certification is required, although professional certification (CFRE, FAHP, etc.) would be desirable.
