The Vascular Access Nurse will deliver competent and skilled care to patients requiring vascular access support, including, but not limited to peripheral IV and PICC line insertion. Nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment. The Vascular Access Nurse will deliver care with a team-orientation, an emphasis on good customer relations, sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
Minimum of 2 years of pediatric experience is required
Minimum of 2 years of recent or current critical care experience is required
IV access experience required
Current BLS and PALS are required
