Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant for the Child Development Center at Atlantic Medical Group to work 9AM-5PM
Greets patient promptly upon arrival to practice.
Correctly registers patients in the system, including registration paperwork.
Answer, handle, phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize appropriate telephone etiquette.
Using general scheduling guidelines appropriately schedule patient appointments selecting appropriate visit type/length of visit. May be required to schedule meetings for physicians.
Accurately collects and documents time of-service payments.
Verifies/collects: demographics, emergency contact information, and insurance information.
Accurately enters information into EMR. Uses EMR for prescriptions, phone notes, referrals, outreach, check-out, etc.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of how to assist patients in a timely manner with concerns and/or complaints
High School Diploma or GED required
Knowledge regarding medical terminology, insurance, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills in order to serve a diverse customer base preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in the following, but not limited to: patient registration, appointments, scheduling, arrival appointments, EMR phone notes, indexing documents within EMR, telephone etiquette preferred
Prior experience working in a medical practice, customer service field, or administrative office setting
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
