Position Summary

This position works in the Heart Center at Phoenix Children`s Hospital. Core duties include exercise testing though would expand to include exercise prescription and rehabilitation. In addition to the clinical work there will be a focus on research, quality improvement, teaching and learning in a positive and collegial work environment.

Education

• Bachelor`s degree in Exercise Physiology (Required)

Experience

• Clinical experience in a healthcare setting required. (Required)

Certifications

• ACSM certified clinical exercise physiologist (CEP/RCEP) eligible with completion within 6 months of hire. (Preferred)

Special Skills

• Able to independently administering all portions of an exercise stress test including placement of ECG leads, performing necessary pulmonary function tests, monitor and appropriately terminate exercise. (Required)
• Able to recognize heart rhythm abnormalities as well as vital sign abnormalities. (Required)
• Basic computer competency required in order to navigate the electronic medical record. (Required)
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. (Required)
