Position Summary
Must have healthcare purchasing experience.
This position manages the activities and staff of the Purchasing Department by providing leadership and implementing policies and procedures for the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Accountable to the shared objectives established by and between the Supply Chain, Finance and clinical departments. Responsible for accomplishing operational and financial objectives that are established for the Purchasing department.
Education
- Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
Experience
- 7 or more years of progressively responsible purchasing experience including contracting and negotiating experience. (Required)
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience. (Required)
- 5 or more years of Purchasing leadership experience. (Preferred)
- Proficiency in Lawson (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point). (Required)
- Ability to present in front of a group of people. (Preferred)
