Job Summary:
Social Workers develop, lead, and provide clinical, operational and strategic oversight of Firefly's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), supporting pregnant and postpartum patients with substance use disorder. Additionally, provides psychosocial assessment of and brief targeted intervention for social, emotional, and environmental issues that impact Firefly patients' ability to optimally benefit from care in a clinical support role. Social Workers actively collaborate with team to meet patient care management and system improvement goals. Provides leadership within the department. Contributes to the plan of care with knowledge of population specific needs as it relates to the identification of patient psychosocial needs.
Position Shift:
*Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
Signing Bonus:
This position offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus. The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months.
Department Summary:
Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is accepting applications for the Social Worker, LMSW role within Team Firefly. Firefly is a patient-centered service delivery program which aims to improve the quality of care for pregnant and postpartum Medicaid beneficiaries with opioid use disorder and their infants in Middle Tennessee. Tennessee is one of nine U.S. states to receive funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to implement the Maternal Opioid Misuse (MOM) model. In partnership with TennCare and Tennessee's three Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), VUMC is utilizing MOM model funds to coordinate and expand the services provided to pregnant and postpartum women on Medicaid with OUD.

Qualifications:
Required: Master's Degree (or equivalent experience)
Required: < 1 year relevant experience
Required: Licensed Master Social Worker
Preferred: Experience working with peer recovery specialists, with IOP/group facilitation, knowledge of ASAM criteria and curriculum development, and experience working in the addiction/recovery treatment space are preferred.
Additional Qualification Information:
- Must hold a current Tennessee Social Work License.
- Candidates who have recently graduated from an accredited Graduate School of Social Work or have moved to TN with another State's Master Social Work license are allowed a provision to obtain licensure from the TN State Board within six (6) months of hire date.
