In compliance with applicable New York and New Jersey State regulatory authorities, COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) is mandatory for all MSK employees, contingent workers, and volunteers. Exceptions are permitted for those employees who request and receive an approved medical or fully remote exemption.
*Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.
Note: Individuals are eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster five months after receiving the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two months after the J&J vaccine.

The mission of the Division of Pharmacy Services parallels the ultimate purpose of the health center: "Leadership in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of cancer and associated diseases through excellence, vision and cost-effectiveness in patient care, outreach programs, research and education". As a support service of the hospital, our primary existence and function are based on a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care in all phases of development (geriatric, adult and pediatric), with dedication and concern. The professional staff as well as the technical/support staff performs with the highest regard for the patients they serve by constantly considering cost-containment once therapeutic effectiveness and safety is established.
The Pharmacy Department at MSK utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical and dispensing services in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings through a decentralized satellite pharmacy services model.
We are seeking an Evening/Overnight Floater Pharmacist at our David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care location.
You will:
- Verify and prepare investigational, chemotherapy, and non-chemotherapy agents
- Enter premeds and anti-emetics per institutional guidelines
- Support Omnicell Services
- Execute cleanroom operations
- Review and process take home prescriptions as per MSKCC policy and state regulations.

You are:
- Highly motivated and able to work well with others in a demanding environment
- Able to adopt a culture centered around patient safety and cleanroom sterility
- Able to make sound judgements even with incomplete information
- Able to suggest changes to workflow to improve patient care
- Someone with a strong sense of ownership and willingness to learn in an empowering environment
- Someone with a substantial understanding of computer and pharmacy systems
- Someone with a supportive attitude towards others' beliefs and ideas
You have:
- Valid NY Pharmacist license
- Pharm.D (or equivalent)
- Prior hospital pharmacy and chemotherapy experience preferred
- Strong computer skills and the ability to develop a good understanding of pharmacy systems
Hours:
- Evening/Overnight floater
- Rotating weekends and Holidays
