The Telephone Triage Nurse performs nursing care for the caller, patient and family remotely via the telephone. The Telephone Triage Nurse will work interdependently within the guidelines of medical protocols and nursing standards of performance. This position relies on great verbal communication and data-collection skills in carrying out the nursing process. The RN will also collaborate with callers on the telephone and with colleagues in other health disciplines to meet the individual health and illness needs of the patient and family.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas is required
Minimum of Five (5) years of pediatric RN experience is required
Previous Telephone triage, emergency and/or critical care experience preferred
Must be computer literate and have good communication skills
